My Blogging Tree

In order to establish order, I will attempt to explain my connections or Blog pedigree. While I was still employed for the diamond company, I discovered that my supervisor was the cousin of The Jolly Porter (who I went to high school with and who was in the same grade as Lo Down) My supervisor told me to check out his cousin’s Blog cause it’s really funny. It was from the posted comments that I began to re-establish connections and make new ones. Please correct me if I make any mistakes in my connections and help me fill in the semantic and/or mental gaps. I think ~J has done a better job at making all the connections than I have.
Papai Yokum – Would be just one of my older brothers (the others have yet to play in the blogging world). He probably feels as old as his Blog namesake at times and dreams of a more carefree environment of Dogpatch, but his real persona is a complete opposite of Pappy.
The Lo Down – I’ve known Lo, since I was nine. We grew up together—in worlds apart. She’s a year older than I and was a girl for Pete’s sake. I had long since lost contact with her and her brother Dally News.
Confessions of a Pottymouth Mom- I’m not sure whose Blog I first encountered Sister Pottymouth. But hey, she was a friend of Lo Down’s so I jumped into her blogging melee.
the jolly porter –see explanation above. It’s all his fault that the rest of you can’t get rid of me.
oh, judy! - wife of the Jolly Porter, so by virtue of that relationship…besides, she lets people post to her Blog on a regular basis, unlike her husband who’s blog has to be aligned with the stars or fit into his teaching schedule.
the executive –I went to high school with the executive (same grade and all). I found him through a link of a link of a link and eventually saw him posting on a familiar site…it could have been yours.
Every Day I Write The Book – oh boy, another girl that I went to high school with who was a year older. Don’t get me wrong, I like girls, I just always felt intimidated by girls older than I was.
Ignore The Crazy - really good friends to Oh Judy. Enough said.
From the mixed-up files of a middle-aged mind - I believe I came to know Compulsive through Sister Potty Mouth.
~j – my closest connection to her is through Lo Down even though she also knows a few others on this list.
C-Jane - is a sister to the Jolly Porter. It’s possible we’ve met, but I would be surprised. There are other family members in the blogging universe; I just haven’t landed on those planets yet.

If anyone has felt left out, I apologize, I'm just not there yet....I'm working on it.

Actually, I went to PHS too. My brother was in Lorien & Jolly Porter's class as well. Go find Klay in your yearbooks. (You'll find my senior picture in your Sophomore yearbook.)

Chris- I think there is more than just a genetic link between you and Sonny. That is the exact same response I would have expected from Sonny...it's kinda creepy. But welcome to my blog, even if it is to witness your mayhem at work.

Julie- You mean the book with Lo Down's thumbs up poking through the front cover? Wow.

Nice. Now I know more connections (and, I finally updated my blog list to include yours and others that I read).

Yes, Lyle, that's the yearbook. Look in the A's and you'll find me (Senior) & Klay (Junior).

Julie- Ah, another light goes on. I admit that I did not know you in high school, but hey, I can say that I virtually know you. While I recognize Klay, I would be surprised if he knows me. I don't think I ever had a class with him.

~j- I'm glad that you and others are able to further build your connections. And thanks for adding me to your site.

Am I the only non Provoan or non Utahn (although I was born and transplanted)? I live in Sister Pottymouth and Ms. Lo Down's ward and count both Julie and Lorien among my nearest and dearest friends. But all the rest are some of my favorite cyber friends--so now I feel like a kid with an imaginary friend. Am I weird?

No, don't answer that!

Compulsive- Transplants work just fine. See Jacob chapter 5. I don't mind being an imaginary friend...think of all the mischief you can cause and then blame me.

No, compulsive - I'm a New Yorker, currently residing in Provo (for the last...almost decade).

Thanks ~j. New York to Provo huh? In many ways, that's got to be more of an adjustment than Provo to New York. (Please note that I do love Provo--Go Bulldogs!)

Lyle: I have often been tempted to cause mischief and/or wreak a little havoc in blog world, but I do try to behave myself and I would never blame you, imaginary friend.

I wouldn't call myself a "complete" opposite of Pappy but maybe some would just call him my alter-ego. But, thanks for the compliment anyway. I didn't know you had such a connection with so many of the links on your site.

For the rest of you, while I don't know any of you (at least not that I am aware), if you're good enough to be counted as a friend of Lyle's, than enough said.

Have a marvelous day!

I guess I should also note that I have a very direct connection to Anonymous. My better half enjoys lurking on my blog...I guess its one of those elements of mystery in our relationship. So thank you Anonymous for your three cents worth.

I just had a brilliant idea. Since the oh so jolly porter has no time for his fans and since I am suffering from an extreme case of comment envy, let's put a link to my blog's comment section on his blog and I will accept, moderate and reply to all his comments. That way everyone can say whatever they want regarding his oh so jolly blogs and I can sit at home and watch my comment tally soar. Makes everybody happy, don'tcha think?

Compulsive- What a truly delightful and devilish idea. I love it. We ought to get Bek to contact Lisa and have her create the link behind Topher's back....I wonder how long it would take for him to notice? You just might hit triple digits Wooo! Hooo!

Just noticed you're from Moab and I have a friend that grew up in Moab (Ellen) that knows everyone there. I wonder if you know her.

Let me know the subscription fees and my sister, Compulsive, will pay for it ;o)
