Can I Pencil You In?

We are coming to Utah this week. Rhonda’s sister is getting married and their long lost brother and his brood are going to be in Utah as well. We have not seen the MIA brother for four years so it’s bound to be a treat. We will have approximately 9 short days for our visit before I have to return to my post here at TTU.

I also daydream about a gathering. A gathering at Café Rio. A gathering at Café Rio with fellow bloggers. I have a dream!

The dilemma: I honestly do not know if there will be time for such a gathering. I feel bad that the last time we came up to Utah that the dreamed get-together never took place. Will this be an 0-2?

Can I pencil you in? I will provide updates via the Blog. Get your mo-jo working. Give those monkey bones a toss. If nothing else, I say come to the reception. Who cares if you don’t know the bride or the groom?

When you know the exact dates you will be here let me know and I will e-mail everyone (there are a couple of people who haven't been blogging regularly who might want to come as well) and we can do sort of a "save-the-date" if you want. I'll also keep everyone posted via e-mail as you post your updates. OK?

Oh wait...

I say keep the post posted. We are always good for a blogger get together. Especially if it involves food, or lunch or anything of the sort.

Amen Mayday! Will Rhonda be there too?

It's still too early to tell. If anything happens it would be mid next week.

Yes Rhonda would be there too...we're practically joined at teh hip.

OK. Next week. I always get confused between this week and next week. In any case I did go to Cafe Rio today. Sort of in honor, I guess.

It's looking like lunch time on Wednesday. More specific hour to come...

What fun! I'll do my best to get to Cafe Rio on Wednesday . . . I'll check in later for the time.

Hope you've had a restful and enjoyable visit.

How great it was too see everyone at Cafe Rio. I mean there were people I didn't even know, with a line extending out the door [into the rain]. Talk about magnetism.

It was great for Rhonda and I to meet Jenny, Sue, Melody, Julie, and Carina [Sonny was there with his lovely wife in behalf of the Clark Clan].

It almost didn't happen cause we had some minor van problems that required attention before our return trip home and today was the day that it was at the dealership...but that's another story.

For those who missed out. That's okay, I'll still read your blogs and comment and be my normal unusual self.

Lyle-
It was so fun to meet you and your lovely lovey.

I only regret that your dream didn't unfold quite as you might have dreamt (I love that word-dreamt). I would have loved to spend much much more time --actually sitting down and eating, for instance, with you and the local bloggers -- if time had permitted.

Anyway, it was a great idea. Let's do it again when we're all in Texas!

I missed you guys again! Emma's been sick so going to luch was out of the question. I'm glad you had a good time. Maybe I'll see you the next time you're here.

Tell Rhonda hi for me!

Ok, I thought you meant next week! I am a moron.

Darn, I was going to have you pencil me in. Not that I would have flown to Cafe Rio for one day, I just wanted to be penciled in. Hmmm... that kind of sounds like jail. Penciled in.

Lyle, we'll have to join forces and host a Texas style hootenanny complete with a Best Billy Ray Mullet Competition and we'll serve Roadkill Chili!

Hootenanny is such a weird word. I have no idea if I spelled that correctly either, since I've never actually spoken or written hootenanny prior to this.

Hootenanny..........I just threw that in for good measure.
